Entry Requirement:
Admission is open to qualified registered nurses in country of origin with Basic English skills equivalent to beginner level.

Program Benefits:
Promoting nurse mobility in the Asia Pacific region the transition program is specifically designed for qualified and registered nurses looking to transfer their existing knowledge and skills to Australia and comparable health care systems.

The forty week (40) program focuses on:

• Improving English communication/teamwork skills in health care
• Building understanding of a foreign health care environment

Registered nurses from the Asia region can use this course as the first step in preparing for certification/licensure testing for the United States, the United Kingdom or as an introduction to the health care community and further academic study in Australia.

Evidence Required:
To meet the entry requirements certified copies of transcript of records with course descriptions and hours of practical and theoretical components and a certified copy of nursing registration from the country of origin must be provided.

Clinical placement:
Limited places will be made available and participants will need to enrol and pay enrolment fee by 31st July 2005 to secure this opportunity commencing in February 2006.
