Scholarship for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples

SITCM recognises that the participation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the Australian health workforce is crucial to closing the gap in health outcomes between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians.

On this basis, we offer a $1,500 scholarship to one eligible Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander commencing student per year in the Bachelor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (BTCM).

Terms and Conditions

• The recipient must provide a Letter of Confirmation of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Descent, written by an Indigenous community organisation and stamped with the organisation’s common seal of certification.
• The recipient must be a Domestic student enrolled in their first semester of study in the BTCM, and must be enrolled in at least two full units of study in that semester.
• The recipient must never have breached SITCM’s Student Code of Conduct, as outlined in the Student Manual.
• This scholarship cannot be awarded to the same person multiple times.
• If all four above conditions are met, then within one week after the Census Date SITCM will make a one-off tuition fee reimbursement payment of $1,500 to the recipient’s nominated bank account.
