As an international student, the Department of Home Affairs has financial requirements you must meet to receive your student visa. A single student must show they have the financial capacity to cover the living costs of at least $20,290 AUD per year.

The table below outlines the estimated cost of living in Sydney based on a 36-week academic year. Tuition fees are not included in the estimates. Living costs are indicative only and will vary based on the location, number of people you live with, the condition of the housing and your lifestyle.
